You Can't Force a Flame from a Well

What do I need to see today?

I pulled from the Ethereal Visions deck by Matt Hughes and actually got one of the specialty cards in the deck "The Well". XXII.

The card depicts a woman sitting on a stone well. She is looking out off into the distance, seemingly towards a vast body of water. She is holding one of those pendulums for divination (at least that's what it looks like it is to me). There is a light blue mystical cloud situation wrapping around her the looks to be coming from the bottom of the pendulum.

The guidebook notes that this card's Astrological correlation is Gaia. This card represents the birthplace of ideas, inspiration, and transformation. It frames the Well as a generative force (a Creatrix) where the flow of ideas is something you can tap into rather than something you have to force. Upright keywords: nurturing, opportunity, nature, creativity

The woman on the well isn’t patiently waiting, she’s attuned. She is in a state of waiting, but she is actively listening for the exact moment the pendulum shifts. She’s watching the horizon because she knows the spark comes in flashes, not in scheduled blocks.

This card feels like it is reflecting my day back to me. I pulled this card because I was feeling restless and like I needed to get started on my next productive task asap. But this card reminds me that I did have sparks of motivation and productivity, I did feel the internal pulls and act upon them when they appeared. The Well is telling me that my intuition is functioning exactly as it should. My job is to follow the sparks as they appear, not force the flame.
